Brightkey was founded by Matthew De Santis and Ramsey Pryor, who have over a decade of experience working together across multiple companies to build, market and sell award-winning software. They have assembled an all-star team of experienced software professionals who have established the technical and cultural foundations of the company as it scales up.
About Matthew (CEO)
Matthew J. De Santis is a software executive experienced in sales, account management, marketing, strategic planning, and product management. Matthew has a 15 year track record of achieving rapid growth and successful exits in established, start-up, and entrepreneurial environments.
Previously, Matthew lead worldwide channel sales efforts for the IBM Connections social business software suite and helped to launch IBM’s SmartCloud by integrating the Outblaze email messaging platform and winning key customers against Microsoft and Google.
Prior to IBM, Matthew was Vice President of Sales and Account Management for Outblaze, the largest private-label cloud messaging provider in the world (with over 40 million mailboxes operated for service providers and telcos), and Director of Account Management for Critical Path, the first multi-tenant SaaS messaging solution. In his early career, Matthew helped to develop the competitive local exchange market at XO Communications, and introduced a new multi-functional voice and data product.
Matthew has an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University, and holds undergraduate degrees in Communications and Theater Arts from Muhlenberg College.
About Ramsey (CRO)
Ramsey Pryor has over 18 years of global product management and marketing experience. At IBM, Ramsey introduced IBM’s first web-based email offering into market, and led IBM’s market-facing activities to establish IBM Connections as a leader in Social Business. A thought leader in cloud-delivered software, he is a regular speaker at industry events, webinars, and conferences.
At Outblaze, he was responsible for the overall product and marketing strategy, overseeing the Product Development team, and leading Marketing and Public Relations. As Director of Product Management for Register.com, he formalized the product management methodology and led the effort to significantly expand the company’s small business product suite. Ramsey started his career in 1996 as a consultant for Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company based in Chicago.
Ramsey has a MBA in marketing from IESE Business School (Ranked #7 MBA in the world by the Financial Times, 2014) in Barcelona, Spain and earned his bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University.
